Nikki Russell works as the Volunteer Initiatives Manager for United Way of King County, managing and delivering volunteer resources management trainings and workshops for local nonprofit and community organizations. In this capacity, she develops workshops and trainings for local, regional, and national conferences as well as tailored trainings in volunteer resource management to meet the needs of individual nonprofit organizations.
Russell is the lead trainer and consultant for the Volunteer Impact Program, a grant-funded volunteer management capacity building program implemented locally to nonprofit organizations. Russell currently serves as the Chair of Steering Committee for the Volunteer Administrator’s Network (VAN) Northwest and as VP of Marketing on the Board of the Association of Leaders in Volunteer Engagement (AL!VE). She earned her CVA (Certified in Volunteer Administration) in 2010 and now serves as Board Member of the Council for Certification in Volunteer Administration (CCVA).
Russell has worked in the not-for-profit arena for 25-plus years, with 19 years specifically in the volunteer engagement arena.
