David Miller has 12 years of experience in the field of volunteer engagement and a Master of Arts in Organizational Management. Since 2008, he has served as the Director of Volunteer Programs at Neighbors, Inc. During that time the number of volunteers has more than tripled from 500 to nearly 1700. In 2014, he helped Neighbors receive the prestigious blue ribbon Service Enterprise recognition from the national Points of Light Foundation for its excellence in volunteer engagement.
Miller has served on the Minnesota Association for Volunteer Administration (MAVA) Board of Directors and several MAVA task forces. Prior to Neighbors, Miller worked for local, regional, and international volunteer-centered organizations, including UNICEF in Albania leading youth volunteers in support of democratic initiatives, and AmeriCorps engaging the community to provide after-school activities for youth. The volunteers he has met and continues to meet daily inspire and drive his own passion for service to the community.
