JoAnn M. Hanson, Ph.D., is a Senior Academic Adviser at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities campus, College of Continuing Education, Program for Individualized Learning. Hanson has a background in the social sciences, adult development and learning, volunteer development and program administration, program development and evaluation in human services, social and immigration history, and museum studies. She has taught courses in adult education and volunteer development at the University of Minnesota, University of St. Thomas, Hamline University, Capella University, Minnesota Extension Service and Metropolitan State University.
