Megan Cassar is a passionate, efficient, and skilled professional, currently employed as the Volunteer Engagement Coordinator at Oxfam Australia. Cassar helps to set the strategic direction for volunteer engagement at Oxfam; supports managers of volunteers in recruiting, selecting, inducting and managing their volunteers; and is a business partner to various sections of the organisation including Oxfam Shops.
Cassar volunteers her time to facilitate the Managers of Volunteers network in Melbourne, an independent, informal network of volunteer leaders in Melbourne's metro and outer suburbs. The MoV network meets a few times each year for professional development opportunities, to discuss all things volunteer management and hosts a number of guest speakers.
Cassar is also the facilitator of the Victorian Users Group for Better Impact, an online volunteer management software. The Users Group meets every few months to discuss how different organisations use the software and how to use it to the best of its ability. The Users Group ensures continuous sharing of information and networking opportunities.
Cassar is also an active volunteer. She is a current Mental Health First Aider and volunteers as a Community Education and Training Volunteer with PANDA.
